Recommendations For Offline Scanning

Offline Scanning is a helpful feature available in the Hometown Gate App. This feature allows customers to scan fans into events without having a Wi-Fi connection. Below are some of the differences between Offline and Online Scanning, as well as some recommendations from HomeTown:

***Hometown’s overall recommendation: whenever possible, we recommend scanning online. However, if you encounter weak signal at your event’s gate, Offline Scanning is made for you! If you decide to use Offline Scanning, we recommend encouraging your community to purchase their tickets before arriving to the event to keep lines moving quickly.
