Mobile Devices: Minimum Requirements & Recommended Use Cases

Below are the minimum requirements necessary to run the Hometown Software and Applications on mobile devices and printers:

Mobile Device Specifications: 

  • Internet capable

  • Bluetooth (card readers + printers)

  • Camera with flash (for scanning)

  • Location Services (required for card readers)

Recommended For Specific Use Cases:

  • Tablets: Point of Sale (cash & credit card transactions)

  • Phones: Scanning Tickets

  • Printers: Physical tickets/receipts at Point of Sale 

    • (Digital distribution always recommended when possible!)

Operating System Versions:

  • iOS 13.0 or higher

  • Android 11.0 or higher

Note: Up to date app requirements will always be listed in the App Store and Google Play Store. Functionality will improve with the use of current operating system versions. 

Printers & Paper:

Minimum requirements will increase over time as software versions are released. Hometown recommends staying up to date with the latest equipment and software versions to ensure optimal use of the platform and Apps.
